Receptionists

Our receptionists are the organizational backbone of our hospital.  Apart from keeping things running smoothly and maintaining our vast medical record system, they are the voices you hear on the telephone and the smiling faces that first welcome you when you enter our hospital.

Carol

Carol started at the White Rock Veterinary Hospital in December 2000.  Her hard work and dedication to the hospital has landed her the role of supervisor at the reception desk.  She takes a special interest in all those important tasks that keep the hospital running smoothly.  Carol shares her home with her dog, Sara and two cats, Izzy and Sid.

Shona

Shona found her niche early on in life and has spent the last 25 years working for various veterinary hospitals in the Lower Mainland.  She has an interest in helping build the human-animal bond and strives to make each visit at the White Rock Veterinary Hospital a pleasant experience for both you and your pet.  Shona enjoys spending time exploring Vancouver with her English Setter, Airdrie, and hitting the beaches and trails as much as possible.  She also has two orange tabby cats, Seymour and Riley.

Jacquie

Jacquie has been a receptionist at the White Rock Veterinary Hospital since September 2007.  Her special interests in veterinary medicine include parasitology, preventative health care, and nutrition.  Her favorite part about working here is meeting new puppies and kittens, watching them grow up, and getting to know them.  She and her husband have three cats, Missy, Loki, and Joanie.

Kristy

Having always loved animals, especially dogs, Kristy was very excited to join our reception team in April 2008.  Kristy is compassionate about helping every pet that comes into our hospital, whether for routine vaccinations or comforting pets that are not well.  Having completed the Hill’s Nutritional Advocate, she is a competent member of our reception staff who will be able to help you select the right food for your pet.  Kristy shares her home with her husband, two young children, and her playful beagle, Abe.

Devonne

Devonne was born and raised in the White Rock area and has worked at our hospital as a receptionist since December 2008.  She currently attends Simon Fraser University and is working towards her Bachelor Degree in health sciences.  She has three cats and considers herself a cat person although she does enjoy working with dogs, especially the large breed ones.

Christine

Christine has worked at the White Rock Veterinary Hospital since September 2010.  She is a certified veterinary assistant/receptionist.  She enjoys working in the animal health care field and looks forward to continually expanding her knowledge.  Aspects of animal health that most interest her are animal welfare, nutrition, and proactive preventative health care.  She has two dogs, Pierre and Casey.
