Veterinary Assistants
Our veterinary assistants are entrusted with the special hands-on care of your pet while they are at our hospital. Your pet’s comfort is their number one priority and includes keeping them comfortable, taking them for bathroom and fresh air walks, and tending to their food and water needs. Our assistants also help the veterinarians and technicians with diagnostic testing and treatments and are a key part of the health care team at our hospital.
Leslie
Leslie has been a team member at the White Rock Veterinary Hospital since 1979. She will take special care of your dog or cat during their stay at our hospital. She is always here in the evening to prepare your pet’s dinner and make sure they get outside to do their business and stretch their legs. Leslie assists both our technicians and our veterinarians. She is an invaluable member, especially when holding your pet for a nail trim, blood collection, or for those important diagnostic x-rays.
Crystal
Crystal graduated from Stenberg College as a Veterinary Assistant in 2005. She completed her practicum at the White Rock Veterinary Hospital and became a team member shortly after. Crystal is great with all of the patients, whether they are here for boarding or surgery. She spends that extra time making sure they are clean, dry, and comfortable. She is a skilled veterinary assistant and has many important responsibilities in our hospital’s daily operations.
Taylor
Taylor has been a veterinary assistant at the White Rock Veterinary Hospital since October 2009. She is currently in grade 12 and attends school locally. After high school, she is planning to go into the medical field. Taylor treats the animals in the hospital with the same tender loving care she treats her own pets with. She has a dog, Jake, and a cat, Charlie, at home. In her spare time, she likes to play guitar and hang out with her friends.
